Bases and pedestals are sold to established taxidermists only.

We started this service to fulfill the needs of a local taxidermist who was looking for a product that would take their life size and pedestal mounts to the next level. His clients were not satisfied with the selection or quality of “mass produced” bases that were available through supplier catalogs, nor the long lead time required from local cabinet shops. We started by building some small pedestals on a “one time, I’ll do you a favor” type deal. That original order brought us to the realization that many other taxidermists might need the same service, so we began to offer these products to the industry in general.

Although we offer the same bases and pedestals to our customers, all established taxidermists can purchase our custom pedestals, bases, and plaques at wholesale prices. We have developed a pricing guide that runs in Microsoft Excel, which is available to all taxidermists by sending us a request via email or snail mail. The package consists of a PDF file that shows the basic shapes of the bases we build and the dimensions required to use the pricing guide. At this time there are four Excel spreadsheets that cover the bases we offer. The four workbooks include the following bases: Barn Wood (distressed cedar), Flat Panel Oak, Solid Oak, and Raised Panel Oak. The barn wood bases are natural wood and do not require any finish. All of the oak bases are available with your choice of finishes. As we expand our product lines, we will send out an updated pricing guide to all of our existing customers. Keep in mind that the price of lumber fluctuates from day to day. We do our best to “ride out” these increases without increasing our prices, however, from time to time, prices will fluctuate. The pricing guide that we provide is just that, “a guide” for you to use to give your customer an estimate. We will provide you with actual prices upon request or at the time your order is placed.
